Patrol Division

The Southern Area Command consists of the Sheriff, Undersheriff, a Sergeant and several Patrol Deputies.

These deputies are also Deputy Coroners, who are in charge of death investigations in the Southern region. All Patrol Deputies are certified in both Detentions and Patrol, which allows us to utilize them to cover shifts in the Detention Center when needed. Our patrol staff are certified in multiple disciplines to include Crisis Intervention, Sexual Assault Investigations, Drug Investigations, Advanced Impaired Driver Enforcement, Speed Enforcement, etc.

The Southern Area Command staff works out of the Sheriff's Office main office, located in Eureka.

The Northern Area Command consists of a Sergeant and several Patrol Deputies.

These deputies are also Deputy Coroners, who are in charge of death investigations in the Northern region. Both the Sergeant and Deputies are certified in multiple disciplines, which creates the ability for them to handle almost any situation, without having to pull from other resources.

The Northern Area Command works out of the Substation, located at the Crescent Valley Justice Facility.
