Detentions Division

The Eureka County Justice Facility was built in 1989.

Our mission is to serve our community by providing a safe, secure facility where people are treated with dignity and respect and learn to be accountable for their actions.

The Eureka County Detention Facility is staffed by a Sergeant and several Deputies who work varying shifts to accommodate the safety and security of the public, other employees and inmates housed within the facility.

The Detention staff is responsible for transporting inmates to and from court appearances, supervising inmate and weekender work projects and facility security.  Detention staff also act as Bailiff for the Eureka Justice Court and the 7th Judicial District Court.
