Community Meeting - September 21 at 4 PM - study of water retirement paired with agri-solar
Dear Diamond Valley Stakeholders:
Given the recent interest for both water retirement and solar energy development in Diamond Valley, Eureka County and the Eureka Conservation District are working with The Nature Conservancy to study the viability, social and economic considerations, and potential shortcomings of pairing voluntary, permanent water rights retirement with agrivoltaics (agri-solar) in Diamond Valley. Agrivoltaics involves the simultaneous use of areas of land for both agriculture and solar panel energy production.
We will be holding a community meeting on September 21 from 4:00 pm 7:00 pm at the Eureka Opera House. Please save the date and plan on attending to learn more about and provide input into the study. Please also help spread the word about the meeting. The meeting will be professionally facilitated. Soft drinks and snacks will be provided. If you have any questions about the community meeting, please contact me using the contact information below.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
Sincerely,
Jake Tibbitts
